FAQ
Questions before you come in
What happens at the first visit?
A talk about your sport and training week, an exam and a movement check, then your doctor explains what was found and the options. Care that day is only what you agree to.
Is it safe?
Chiropractic care has known risks. Soreness and stiffness are common and usually pass in a day or two. Rare serious events, including stroke after neck manipulation, have been reported. If something is not right for you, your doctor says so. Your doctor explains the risks before you decide.
Will it hurt?
Some care is uncomfortable for a moment, and some people are sore afterward. Tell your doctor what you feel and they will change what they do.
How many visits will I need?
Your doctor sets a plan after the exam and changes it as you go. We do not promise a number of visits.
Do you take my insurance?
We bill some plans and not others, and a plan may not pay for every visit. The fees page explains how it works, and the front desk can help before your first visit.
What if I do not use insurance?
You pay at the visit, and your doctor tells you what care costs before it begins. You have the right to a Good Faith Estimate. Ask us and we put it in writing.
Do I need x-rays?
Not by default. We take x-rays only when it is medically necessary, and your doctor explains why before anything is taken.
Can I come while pregnant, or bring a teenager?
Tell us when you book. Your doctor explains what we do and what we do not do, and may suggest you see your physician first. A parent comes to the first visit with a teenager.
What if I have seen another provider?
That is fine. Tell us who you see. With your written permission, we share what we found with them.
What is the cancellation policy?
Please call or text if you cannot make a visit, so another athlete can have the time. Ask us about our cancellation policy.
