Chiropractic for people who train

We see weekend and club athletes in Winston-Salem. Come after practice or after work, tell us how you train, and we start from how you move.

Care by sport

Start from the sport you play

Each sport asks different things of your body. Pick yours to see what a visit looks at.

Runner

We watch you stand, squat, hop and run in the shoes you train in, and look at how your hips, knees and feet share the work. Bring the shoes you wear most.

  • A single-leg and gait check

  • Joint and soft tissue work where it fits

  • A few drills for between runs

Lifter

We look at how you hinge, squat and press, and where your range runs out. Your coach's program stays your coach's. We work around it, not over it.

  • Hinge, squat and press checks

  • Shoulder, hip and upper back range

  • Notes you can take to your coach

Golfer

The swing asks a lot of your hips and upper back. We check how each side turns, then work on the joints and soft tissue around them and show you what to do before a round.

  • Rotation checked left and right

  • Hip and mid-back mobility work

  • A short warm-up for the first tee

Court athlete

Cutting, jumping and reaching load your ankles, hips and shoulders in turn. Come straight from practice or a league night and we start from how you moved today.

  • Ankle, hip and shoulder checks

  • Care the evening after a game

  • A plan around your league schedule

A visit

The doctor explains before anything else

Your first visit starts with a talk about your training week, then an exam and a movement check. Care that day happens only if you agree to it.

You hear what was found, what we suggest and the risks of each option, in plain words. We tell you what we do not do and when a physician should see you first.

  • About 45 minutes for a first visit

  • Wear what you train in

  • Ask for the cost before care begins

Fees

Ask what a visit costs before you book

We bill some plans and not others, and you can always ask for a written estimate. The fees page answers the questions people ask most.

Questions

Before you come in

What happens at the first visit?

A talk about your training week, an exam and a movement check, then your doctor explains what was found and what care could look like. Care that day is only what you agree to.

Will it hurt?

Some care is uncomfortable for a moment, and some people are sore afterward. Tell your doctor what you feel and they will change what they do.

How many visits will I need?

Your doctor sets a plan after the exam and changes it as you go. We do not promise a number of visits.

Do you take my insurance?

We bill some plans and not others. The fees page explains how it works, and the front desk can answer questions before your first visit.
